A Festival 祭り Un festival مهرجان

Yesterday we went to the Nikkai Matsuri, a festival at the Japanese Association in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Sen Telmo.   We met our friend, Jorge, who we have know since our Pittsburgh days.  The festival had some nice, small shops and we saved our money for the food:Yaki soba, shrimp tempura, steamed pork buns, ramen and mochi.  We listened to an Argentine band play an Okinawan folk song (see the video above) and I was was somehow swept up into a dancing circle and learned to dance the Bon Odori (see the photo below).

 昨日ブエノスアイレスの日本の組合でにっかい祭りに行きました。ピッツバーグからホルヘという友達に会いました。祭りには綺麗な店がたくさんありましたが、食べ物ばかりしか買いませんでした。焼きそば、エビ天ぷら、肉まん、ラーメンとお餅です。そして、アルゼンチンのバンドは沖縄の民謡を弾きました（上のビデオ）。そのあと、私は盆踊りを始めて体験しました。面白かったです！
